Getting business reporters into the school zone.

Hechinger has published a brief encouraging business journalists to report on education. Take a look, and share it with business reporters you know. They focused on early childhood, as that’s where the funding for the report came from, but there’s certainly plenty of business-driven journalism to be done about all levels of education.

By the way, the data the chart at the top of the brief relies on data that seems to not have been adjusted for inflation. Doing so was always a given when I was a graphics editor at the Washington Post. The climb in spending on education would still be steep in adjusted dollars, but significantly less so.
